The Jamarion Robinson Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to supporting families affected by mental illness. We provide access to essential resources including counseling, housing support, legal assistance, and financial aid—ensuring individuals receive the care they need during critical times.
Mental illness affects millions each year—yet too many individuals are left without proper care. Instead of receiving treatment, many are criminalized or overlooked. We believe no one should be left behind or imprisoned due to a mental health crisis.
Through advocacy, education, and direct support, we are working to change the narrative and improve public perception of mental health across the United States.
Our mission is to break barriers and improve access to mental health services, especially within underserved communities, with a strong focus on African American men and minority populations.
A community where individuals living with mental illness are supported, understood, and empowered to thrive in a healthy and productive environment. At Jamarion Robinson Foundation, we envision a world where every person has access to the resources they need to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life
Our organization is built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and accountability. We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, and we are committed to using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in our communities. We work tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services are meeting the needs of those we serve.
Monteria Robinson is the mother of Jamarion Robinson, who was tragically killed by police in 2016. In the face of unimaginable loss, she turned her pain into purpose—becoming a relentless advocate for justice, mental health awareness, and systemic change.
For over nine years, Ms. Robinson has fought for families impacted by police violence while working to ensure individuals living with mental illness receive care—not criminalization. She is the founder of the Jamarion Robinson Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting underserved communities, particularly Black and Brown populations.
As she often says, “I had to take off my corporate attire and exchange it for my warrior armor.” Today, she stands as a powerful voice for the unheard and a champion for lasting change.
